Help Ban Paraquat!

You can help ban the toxic herbicide paraquat, which research shows greatly increases the risk of developing Parkinson's disease (for more information click here).

Congress will soon consider legislation that would eliminate paraquat in the United States. More than 30 countries around the world have already banned paraquat (for more information
click here). It’s time for the U.S. to eliminate this hazardous chemical.

Paraquat is not only dangerous to Americans who work in food and agriculture, but to everyone who eats food treated with it, as there can be paraquat residue on fruits, vegetables and the soil (for more information

Pill May Stop Parkinson's

A new therapy that appears to stop Parkinson’s disease “in its tracks” will begin phase-one clinical trials in humans in 2020. The drug MCC950, developed by researchers at the University of Queensland and partly under-written by the Michael J Fox Foundation, is a world first because it appears to stop the death of brain cells in Parkinson’s sufferers rather than simply managing symptoms.
