Flying Solo Support Groups
Are you a Person with Parkinson’s Disease who doesn’t have a care partner? If so, we invite you to participate in a Flying Solo Support Group. Meetings are informal and free of charge.
Two new Flying Solo Support Groups were formed in 2018 for People with Parkinson’s who are on their own. They are sub-groups of the Mission Valley and Point Loma Parkinson’s Disease Support Groups. We meet before and then join the main support groups.
We discuss practical challenges that affect People with Parkinson’s who have to solve them on their own. Participants suggest topics for discussion, look into resources, and bring information to share. We invite occasional speakers with expertise on topics of interest.
